The Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority manages the Cherry Creek Reservoir, tributaries and surrounding lands under mandates from a variety of controlling agencies. The following documents form the regulatory basis for the organization.
|Regulation #72. Cherry Creek Reservoir Control Regulation||This control regulation from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Water Quality Control Commission, acting under authorization from the Colorado Water Quality Control Act, as the legal basis for the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority’s management of the Cherry Creek Reservoir. See below for website link.|
|Control Regulation #38||This controls classifications and numeric standards for the South Platte, Laramie, Republican and Smoky Hill River Basins.|
|Colorado Water Quality Control Act||Text of the legislation that allows the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Water Quality Control Commission to empower the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority to manage the Cherry Creek basin.|
|Stormwater Quality Requirements (This document is currently under review and is only in draft form. Please contact Chuck Reid at 303.779.4525 for a copy.)||The provisions of these Stormwater Quality Requirements provide the basis for minimum stormwater quality controls and BMP requirements in the Cherry Creek Basin. These Requirements contain standards for the implementation of both temporary (construction) and permanent stormwater quality BMPs for Land Disturbances.|
|Emergency Response Plan Criteria||Site Applications in the Cherry Creek Basin are required to include an Emergency Response Plan that satisfies the criteria presented in this document. The Authority developed these Emergency Response Plan Criteria as a proactive approach to raise awareness and strengthen wastewater facility design and planning to eliminate water quality impacts from sanitary sewer overflows.|
