Cottonwood Creek Rehabilitation

The Basin Authority rehabilitated 2.7 miles of Cottonwood Creek within Cherry Creek State Park, transforming a severely degraded stream channel into a rich riparian corridor to enhance wetlands, habitat, and water quality. Trailheads, trails, and interpretive signage provide opportunities to enrich park user experience; the area is popular with nature photographers desiring to capture the terrestrial wildlife and waterfowl that thrive in the restored stream environment.
